We spent a hot summer afternoon, while in Sweden, in the little, picturesque town of Fjällbacka. The town is best known for the fact that, in her adult years, Ingrid Bergman lived there when visiting her native Sweden. Fjällbacka also is known for Kungsklyftan, the large, raised rock formation that tourists can climb up (there is a stairway) for a view of Fjällbacka and beyond from above.
Tourists abound during the summer
Setterlinds Bageri had a food truck…
…and we gladly ordered some juicy burgers
A view of Kungsklyftan (and people on top) from a street in Fjällbacka with the traditionally white-painted houses
The harbor in Fjällbacka
An exception to the rule, this red house stands proudly in Fjällbacka
….and windows made a splash of color on the white houses
Fried eggs, anyone?
