These images of the farmland east of Ski, a town not too far southwest of Oslo, were taken just west of a tiny village called Kråkstad. I went back a few months later on a crisply cold, fairly clear winter day to the same site and captured many of the same vistas decked with white.
View of a typical Norwegian farm backed by fall colors
The hills gently roll under a blanket of snow
The field is so green that it comes through even on a cloudy, grey day
Blue and white sky over white and green landscape
A copse of trees is starting to turn with fall colors
The same copse of trees is now covered in frost and surrounded by white
Something very orangy-yellow marked this otherwise brown field, topped by grey clouds
A row of white-coated trees almost obscures a red house
The horizon backs a field blanketed with snow
The two trees in the carpet of green remind me somewhat of broccoli florets
Now winter white coats field and trees alike

I am an amateur photography enthusiast living in Oslo, Norway.
My favourite subjects tend to be landscapes and nature - but I enjoy capturing urban scenes, architecture, abstract shapes and street art as well. View all posts by kewtiebird
That green. It must be Norway
