Norwegian Travels – Views From the Sandvika/Edøy Ferry

We stayed for a week this past summer on a small, flat island off the west coast of Norway called Smøla. To get there, we took a ferry from Sandvika to the island of Edøya, which is connected to the outer lying island of Smøla by bridges.

A splash of green farmland near the water
A white church stands out against the moody fjord
Cute little mountains peter out as we get to the edge of Norway
It was dismaying to see how much smoke belched out of a boat far away in the water
Contrast between the mountain and the flat land
A fishing boat on the water near the flat island of Edøya
A church and small town greet us as we approach the island of Edøya
