Norwegian Landscapes – Coastal Walk in Hvaler

During the summer, we spent a day walking a coastal path on the island of Asmaløy in Hvaler (an archipelago of over 800 islands and islets in the outer Oslofjord).

Much of the coast here is made up of slabs of rock
Leafless trees contrast with blossoming wildflowers
A look over the coastal rock out to the horizon where one can make out some lighthouses on other islets
Another sea view, this time over differently-colored rock covered in patches with grasses and wildflowers
We came across a lake framed by tall grass
My crew pushes on while I snap some more pictures
A small red outbuilding sits near the sea
