Coastal Norway – Kålviksholmen Strand

We stayed for a week at the end of summer on the southeast coast of Norway – near the Swedish border – and visited Kålviksholmen on two different occasions for a dip in the ocean.

Textured rock, textured clouds
A paddle boarder and houses across the sound
A large rock balances on the craggy rock slabs
Little rocks dot the top of the slab
Someone diving into the sea
Clouds reflecting in a tide pool
Marshy greenery further inland
Rock and water-filled crevices along the water
Diving board and ladder in late evening light
Lighthouse in the distance in the waning light
Last look at that rock – and wildflowers – by the sea
Bathers at the tip of the other peninsula
A wooden footbridge back to the mainland
