Norwegian Summer – Near Kragerø

We spent a week this past summer in Stangnes, a locale outside the town of Kragerø. Here are some snaps of the rocky coastline around there and a nearby village called Portør.

The storm clouds were a frequent visitor on our trip

Looking over a bay in Portør

Water fills a slab of rock

Taking a dip in a local cove

Jagged cliffs with a touch of bright lichen

A wooden bridge along the coastal path

Another storm presses in from sea

Boats and colorful houses in Portør

A sailboat off the rocky coast on a cloudless day

Jumping in tandem

Another look at the tide pool that appears as an upside down heart

More houses fronting the bay in Portør

Last look at storm clouds peering down at numerous boats on the horizon
