Fall Break – Fjord, Glacier, and Fall Scenes in Fjærland

During our week-long fall break in Sogndal, we took a day trip to Fjærland to see an arm of the Jostedalsbreen glacier called Bøyabreen on a rainy, foggy day. Included here are images of the glacier and its surroundings as well as views around the nearby Fjærlandsfjorden.

Near the Bøyabreen glacier we found many small waterfalls traveling down the steep rock

Flat green fields near Fjærland abut tall mountains

Fall colors topped by a blanket of cloud closer to Sogndal

    1. Thank you so much for your kind comments. I hope you will have the chance to get here, you will love the lovely nature and dramatic views – they’re everywhere! (And you don’t even have to go to the overrun “touristy” sites to be impressed either. Having a camper will allow you to go wherever you like, as I’m sure is the point 😉. Enjoy!)
