Fall Break – Clouds & Fall Colors in Luster
During our weeklong fall break last October, we headed from our “home base” in Sogndal over to Luster, as those of us without a freshly broken bone wanted to hike along Sogelvi – a river connecting two lakes. Here are images from the area, showcasing the fall colors, the cloudy day and the waters.
Looking over Hafslovatnet, one can see not only a low-lying cloud but the smoke from someone burning garden waste as wellFylkesvei 337, AKA Svensrudvegen, near Sogelvi A large boulder near the edge of Straumavatnet Boulder “islands” in the middle of Straumavatnet A combination of pine and colorful fall leaves growing up the steep mountainside in Hafslo A small waterfall finds its way into Veitastrondavatnet Looking back at a bit of Fv337, which follows the shore of Veitastrondavatnet Looking over Veitastrondavatnet back towards Sogelvi, which connects this lake to Straumavatnet A small turf-roofed outbuilding near Sogelvi Tiny, windy Fv337, along Veitastrondavatnet Looking over to the little town of Hafslo on Hafslovatnet on our way “home” again
