Spring Break – Skåne Countryside

While we spent a week based in Ystad, Sweden back in April, we chose to drive along random roads to explore the Skåne countryside.

The gently rolling hills are home to numerous farms and fields and we saw quite a lot of birdlife as well, including a ton of red kites.

Here are some nature scenes shot around the rolling hills of Skåne back in the spring.

Trees and bare field

Bare trees

Modern windmills

Old-fashioned windmill (that recently lost its blades)

Row of trees, rows of crops

Birds tangling in mid-flight

A kite soaring overhead

A kite above the hilly field

  1. I missed this post last year as I was away in Japan. Skåne is a place dear to my heart. So Danish but so Swedish too. That green takes my breath away and those darling little farmsteads. Just like in Jylland. Awww.
