Spring Break – Malmö

Back in April, we spent most of a week in the Swedish city of Malmö.

We happened to be staying in an apartment near the waterfront and, as such, spent much of our time going to and fro with a view of the Øresund Bridge, which connects Sweden with Denmark over the straight. I readily admit that I took way too many images of the bridge and that fact is reflected in today’s post.

However, in and amongst the pictures of the bridge are a couple of water towers, some doggies, random stairs and even the moon hiding behind the Turning Torso tower.

Here is a collection of shots from our time in Malmö.

The Øresund Bridge

Someone heading out for a rainy view

The rainclouds can’t obscure the bridge today, try as they might

A sweet furry face

Good dog!

Benches along the brygge

On the phone in the sun

Viewing the bridge

Escalating

Twirling down

Rainy and wet skate park shapes

Turning Torso with the moon peeking

Emporium and cloud

A building that could’ve been built of LEGO blocks

Public restroom

Another look up at the Turning Torso

Södervänstornet, designed by Salomon Sörensen and built in 1916 for use as a water tower (but looking like a fat crayon)

A bit of a sunset over the Øresund Bridge

Gone fishing

The Hyllie Vattentorn peeks over some buildings, designed by Karl Ivar Stål and built in 1973 (and looking like a flying saucer)

Strolling in the rain

Yay! We found the coffee cart again in Kungsparken on a cold day. (Needed!)

A last, long look at the bridge
