EuroTripping – Utrecht Canals and Street

Last summer, we spent 3 weeks on a road trip around Europe. The 12th city we visited was Utrecht, a university town in the Netherlands.

We needed somewhere to charge our EV as we drove from Antwerp to Bremen and chose Utrecht because it was touted as less crowded than Amsterdam while still providing picturesque canals and charm for us to enjoy.

Here are a few shots from our brief stop in Utrecht that feature canal views as well as a bit of street photography.

A pretty canal framed by brick buildings

An ice cream truck parked on a bridge (with Miffy in the driver’s seat)

Boat and bicycles

A duo down on the bank of a canal

A working barge parked by a large lily pad

Constructing along the canal

Cycling away

Artists at work along the canal

A duo in the garden of the Dom Church

A bright red chair patiently waiting for its occupant to return

Another quaint canal
