Spring Break – Ystad

Back in April, we spent a week in the small Swedish town of Ystad, located at the southern tip of Sweden in the Scania region.

We were chuffed to have rented someone’s 2-floor apartment high up in a great, old water tower with views out the small windows and a spiral staircase leading from one floor to the other.

While we spent much of our time on day trips traveling around Scania, we also spent time wandering around Ystad — mostly in the Old Town, but along the more industrial waterfront as well.

Here are a number of shots taken in Ystad, the last being a compilation of some of the colorful sights seen in the Old Town.

Strangely, there were a zillion ladybugs that seemed to be hibernating in the bathroom. A few woke up from time to time.
