While wandering in Stockholm during a quick weekend back in August, we popped briefly into two different churches for a look-see (and a bathroom break!).
One of our stops was in the red stone Sankt Johannes kyrka, a neo-gothic stye church designed by Carl Möller and finished in 1890. The other visit was in the white, light-filled baroque revival Gustaf Vasa kyrka, designed by Ali Lindegren and completed in 1901.
Here are a few shots of some details that caught my eye in the two Stockholm churches this past summer.

Beautiful interior shots and details. The work that went into building these old churches is amazing!

Many thanks! I was so glad I finally decided to view the interior, it exceeded any expectations.

I especially like the “looking up” images, the one of the painted gothic ceiling in particular.
