While we spent a week based in Ystad, Sweden back in April, we decided to wander for a few hours in the city of Malmö.
We’ve been to Malmö a few times but hadn’t really explored the Västra Hamnen neighborhood before. This area, an artificial island that was once a site of industry, has been revitalised into a modern residential area over the last couple decades.
Here is a collection of images taken on a long walk from central part of Malmö over to and around Västra Hamnen on a mostly grey, rainy day back in spring.

I love that turning torso. I have a clear memory of seeing it from the train after crossing the Oresund Bridge

It really is quite the landmark, really towering over the fairly flat coastline. 😃

Awesome architecture and compositions. I especially like the carefully framed abstractions.

The architectural abstracts look great, but the lone bicycle stands out.
